Compare Cover offer an online life insurance comparison service, which allows you to compare different policies by a range of leading insurance providers. The main aim is to save individuals both time and money while providing detailed, up-to-date information and tools to enable them to make an informed decision.

Digital Marketing Brief

Compare Cover was looking for a digital marketing agency to help boost its overall online presence. The brief given was to increase brand awareness and exposure across social media channels by generating genuine engagement with those who currently follow the company on social media, while also driving traffic to the website.

SQ Digital launched a social media competition to coincide with National Walking Month. The objective was to target parents and those who were interested in living a healthier lifestyle, as our research indicated that these demographics could potentially be looking to purchase life insurance.

Our targeted campaign consisted of a Facebook and Twitter competition, which encouraged people to like Compare Cover’s Facebook post or retweet and follow @comparecover. There was a chance to win the latest version of FitBit Blaze if you did take part.

A campaign plan was generated using our approach to digital marketing, with several teams working together to create a campaign that exceeded the brief given to us by Compare Cover.

Our social media team worked in tandem with our design team to create visual, bespoke imagery to be displayed alongside the competition. Our content marketing team focused on National Walking Month, with SQ content executives crafting sharable blogs on topics such as ‘How to Reach 10,000 Steps a Day’. The content was to generate a real buzz on social media.

Compare Cover saw a considerable upturn in the number of potential customers engaging with their social media channels, as well as a whole host of individuals choosing to follow Compare Cover across their social media platforms.

The #NationalWalkingMonth campaign appeared on a shortlist for two awards; Northern Marketing Awards 2017 (Best Professional & Financial Services Campaign) & UK Search Awards 2017 (Best Use of Social Media in a Search Campaign).
